Nimbus” HDPE pipes are suitable for underground & overgrown installations. Nimbus HDPE Pipes are manufactured from 100% vergin High Density PolyEthylene Granuals in Grades PE 63, PE 80 and PE 100 with working pressure PN 2.5 to PN 25 from 20 mm to 630 mm Outer Diameter as per BIS Standards 4984-95.
HDPE pipe is a type of flexible plastic pipe used for fluid and gas transfer and is often used to replace ageing concrete or steel mains pipelines. Made from the thermoplastic HDPE (high-density polyethylene), its high level of impermeability and strong molecular bond make it suitable for high pressure pipelines. It is an ideal replacement for GI and CI Pipes to transport portable water, gases, chemicals and used as duct for electrical and telecommunication cables.
Large Diameter Pipes
The use of large diameter solid-wall polyethylene pipes for municipal ,industrial, agricultural and energy applications has become the fast growing applications around the world. This progress is due to major advantages of HDPE pipe over other pipe materials and increasing confidence in its excellent performance throughout long service life. Our broad range of solid-wall Polyethylene pipes and fittings up to size 1600mm conform to all pressure and low-pressure water supply projects in the following applications:
* Intake cooling water
* Discharge outfall
* Sewer outfall
* Water crossing
* Desalination plant
High density polyethylene - pipes application & is very popular material for water pipes.
* Water Supply & Irrigation
* Chemical and Edible Transportation
* Gas Distribution
* Cable Distrubution
* Dust Suppression System
* Effluent Collection and Disposal System
* Submarine and Underwater Pipeline
* Slurry Transportation
* Resistant to chemicals
* Easy and light weighted
* Long living
* Low friction
* Relatively cheap
* Flexible
* Sun resistant
PE pipes can be used in range of temperatures -40 oC to 60 oC considering the change of operating pressure. Typically the standard specification identify class of a HDPE pipe is by the nominal pressure class - PN - up to PN 20 or 20 bar. HDPE pipe can also be classified by the material used - PE 100, PE 80, PE63, PE 40 or PE 32.
Pressure Nominal - PN
PE pipes are produced in different pressure grades (PN grades), which indicates the pressure in bars the pipe can support with water at 20 oC.
The pressure grades available according to European standards are
- PN 2.5 - max pressure 2.5 bar
- PN 4 - max pressure 4 bar
- PN 6 - max pressure 6 bar
- PN 10 - max pressure 10 bar
- PN 16 - max pressure 16 bar
